Why 4.3-10 connector is better than 7/16?

The mobile network base station and connector manufacturers have together designed a new smaller 4.3-10 connector to replace 7/16 connectors. New device models with this new connector have now arrived to the network installation scene. The new connector has better PIM value and it is suitable for applications which have space, weight or power limitations.

Base Station Products

Fiber To The Antenna (FTTA)

FTTA is a new application for fiber optic products. The traditional radio frequency transfer line (RF feederline) from the base station up to the Radio Remote Unit (RRU) on the top of the mast is now replaced with fiber transfer line (FO feederline). The major benefit from fiber optic data transfer is the low loss within the high frequency technologies such as WCDMA and LTE. An FTTA system requires only on feederline.
